There, you can socialize with folks almost any time. Bring a sandwich and spend quality time with friends at a virtual table in a Breakout Room.
At the start of the festival (Friday at 1:00pm ET), and again at the start of Saturday (9:00am ET), we'll have Gatherings there, for orientation, information about the festival and concerts, some Zoom pointers, etc.
Also go there Sunday 1:00pm ET for the "Don't Let the Weekend Die" web jam.
Ashley, Britt, Tom, and Sam Edelston all will be Hosting or Co-hosting the Zoom "homeroom" at various times.
How to get help: In Zoom, simply ask out loud or open the Chat window. The Host and any Co-hosts should be listed at the top. In the chat window, you can send private messages with your questions or comments.
To find the Chat box: On a PC, Mac, or laptop, hover your cursor over the bottom of the Zoom window -- the Chat icon and several others will appear. On a smartphone or tablet, tap the screen to make the icons appear. (It might be under "More.")
The Host or Co-host can answer most questions, and also can supply you with any missing workshop links or handouts.
You also can go to a private "breakout room" where you can talk or trade tunes with friends.
By the way, please do check out our food concessions. The meals at Nutmeg this year are as good as you might find at home.
They'll be selling instruments and other things during the meal breaks.
